This website is for the course "Practice and Theory of Teaching Writing." The class focuses on the different theories and aspects of teaching writing to students, with a focus on how to effectively tutor writing. Taught by Professor Neal Lerner, this course "focuses on the teaching of writing by studying the professional literature of writing theory as well as a teaching practicum. Students work as a writing tutor or shadow experienced teachers. It offers students an opportunity to prepare for future teaching of writing and to obtain deeper insight into their own writing processes."
